April 16th

This week we had another birthday to celebrate. Noah turned two and we celebrated together by singing happy birthday and eating his delicious caterpillar cake smiley

We had some hot sunny days this week so had lots of fun outside and some cool times in the water play inside.

The first of our focused activities this week was a physical mark making one at the easel. We used the easel to hold our paper and using a special grasp called the palmar grasp we held our brushes and made lots of marks.

The second of our focused activities this week was a Pom Pom drop activity where we used various sized tubes to post Pom poms through and watch where they landed. By doing the the children developed the awareness to look for dropped objects as well as using the small hand and finger movements.
