Friday 10th January

Victorian classroom

Hello and welcome to our first blog of 2020! We hope ypu all had a great Christmas break - it seems forever ago now!

Well even though the children have only been in school for 4 days, we have covered so much learning. In English we are reding a book called Inside Out & Back Again by Thanhha Lai. It is written in poem form like Cloud Busting which we read last month. We have also done some work on Oliver Twist. We have studied workhouses and written a descriptin of Fagin in the form of a wanted poster.

In maths we have been working on decimals and will move onto percentages next week.

We started our new history topic on the Victorians looking at information on Queen Victoria and even turned our classroom into a Victorian style classroom!

Have a good weekend and we will see you on Monday.

Love from Mrs Parry & Mrs Melling xx
