Friday 11th May

Welcome back!

The big week is nearly here and the children couldn't be any more prepared and ready for it, hopefully peaking at the right time.

The Bank Holiday provided some useful relief from the rigour of SATS prep but it's been all hands to the pump otherwise.

In English we have divided our time between reading comprehension and grammar practice, both of which contain an awful lot of content that must be learned and applied.

In maths we have focused heavily on reasoning once more as arithmetic is very strong, covering algebra and time problems amongst others.

Y6 children work really hard at this time of year and it is important they're given some time to consolidate learning in a more relaxed way. With this in mind, yesterday the children were challenged with designing punctuation personalities to help remind all of their individual functions. Take a look below.

Please help all children to be well rested, refreshed and breakfasted during next week's tests. It is also vital they attend school punctually every day.

Have a great weekend,

Y6W
