Friday 11th November 2016

Another successful week completed and may I start by saying a warm well done to the children in 4W this morning for showing maturity and respect observing the 2 minutes silence this morning.

Many thanks to all those who brought in money to buy poppies to help support and remember those who we are thinking about at this time of year.

Well done this week to Alicia, the newest member of our class, for being such a delightful child and a welcome addition to 4W.

In English, this week we have been learning the story of 'Dragonory' through the 'Talk for Writing' process and we have had such a good time performing it with all the actions. This led to us to an extended piece of writing that we completed today and Miss Whittle thought they were fabulous!

In Maths, we have continued with multiplication and division and practising our times tables facts so we can achieve our bands. Remember: Practise makes permanent!

We have finished our topic on Ancient Egypt and have moved on to our new topic 'Let it Be' as we find out more about Entertainment, Pop Art, Liverpool and The Beatles.

Thank you to all those parents who have already paid and signed the slips for our trip to 'The Beatles Museum' in Liverpool. We are so excited about going and Logan can't wait to take his magnifying glass to discover just how minibeasts can play the drums and guitar!

Have a great weekend and see you all again on Monday!
