Friday 12th July

Hello and welcome back to our penultimate blog...

We have done a variety of activities and lessons this week but our highlight has to be our visit to the French cafe which was organised by the fabulous Madame Wilson. In there, your children tried a range of French foods and enjoyed being waited on and asking for certain foods in French. What a great experience for all!

This then led us to learning more about the French town, Angers, which Wigan is twinned with - can you believe we even found out that they have blue chocolate there!

We have also designed and created Mayan masks, some of which are celebratory masks and others occasion masks.

As you can see, it's been a very eventful week in year 6 and as well as the above, we've even been fundraising toward our cinema trip next week.

Don't forget our assembly, At the Movies, is on Thursday at 2.30pm - we look forward to seeing you there.

Have a great weekend.

Love from Mrs Parry & Mrs Melling xx
