Friday 13th July

Hello and welcome back. Well, not long now, let’s hope this glorious weather continues for the summer holidays!

In Maths this week we started to look at scaling. In other words, how millimetres relate to centimetres and meters, grams to kilograms etc.

Comprehension was our focus of the week. We read extracts on the different parts of the Ancient Greek civilisation and then answered questions on them. We used the techniques of retrieval, inference and summarising to help us.

What a fantastic time we had. Our teachers were so very busy selling ice cream sandwiches and ice cream sodas; they didn’t have time to think! The afternoon was a great success and we’d like to thank all who helped to organise the event; in particular Mr Price. We can be sure that Christmas parties will be something to look forward too!

A special mention for Bailey, Niamh and Dominik for having 100% attendance all year; a truly massive achievement. Spend your voucher wisely!

A very happy birthday to Frank; who celebrated his birthday this week. Hope you had a good day.

And finally, remember school breaks up on Wednesday 18th July.

Enjoy your Weekend!
