Hello and a very warm welcome back to our class blog. This week we have been using the text The Smartest Giant in Town. This is such a lovely text with so many rhyming words and the children have really enjoyed this feature of the text. Let's have a little look at this weeks learning .........

After reading the text we tried to use our memory and recall skills to share which animal took which piece of clothing from the giant. Here is just a small sample of some of our wonderful writing smiley

We have been exploring tens frames and playing games that allow us to demonstrate our addition and subtraction skills. Here we are writing some number sentences. Amazing

We have also been exploring patterns particularly as the Giants tie and socks had patterns on them. Here we are showing off the patterns we have made. Did you know you can use anything to make a pattern? we do! We used pencils and crayons, paper and post it notes and made our own repeating patterns yes

Have a wonderful weekend. Next week we look forward to using the text A Squash and a Squeeze. Why not have a look over the weekend and see if you have this book at home or maybe have a little look on the Internet with your grow up.

Have a lovely weekend
