Friday 14th June 2019

We have had a lovely assembly today from a very inspirational visitor - a paralympian.  He talked about never saying no to opportunities and always giving 100% to strive to be the best at all we do.  He talked about difficulties he had overcome and the children asked some great questions.

This week the children have had their phonics screening check. We have been practising reading real and alien words as well as doing some additional reading assessments.

In Maths, we have been learning about the fraction half.  We have halved shaped and amounts. We know that when we divide into half we split a shape or amount into two equal pieces.

In Topic, we have been learning about the seaside and human and physical features of the seaside.  We have watched a Punch and Judy show and found it really funny!

Have a lovely weekend.
