Friday 14th October

Hello smiley welcome back to our blog. We have been busy as usual.

In Maths, we have looked at long multiplication and division using the bus-stop method. In English, the children have been looking at the features of persuasive writing. They have been learning about how the rainforests are being destroyed in order to produce palm oil and that the orangutan's habitat is rapidly disappearing.

Over the last few weeks in Music, the children have been learning the lyrics to Happy by Pharrell Williams. This has built up to them now accompanying the track with glockenspiels. Here are some photos of them enjoying their music lesson...

Our certificate winner this week is Noah. He won for sustained calm behaviour and consistent effort in class all week. Well done Noah from all of your classmates and teachers. yesyesyes

REMINDER

It is Parent's Evening on Monday and Wednesday next week. Thank you to everyone who has booked an appointment already. If you haven't as of yet then please use WEDUC to book yourself in, so we can let you know how your child is settling into Year 6.

All that remains to say is have a good weekend and we will see you again next week.  Remember school breaks up on Friday 21st for the October half term.
