Friday 15th April

Welcome back and welcome to the first blog of the summer term!

This weeks star of the week was James for his attitude, contribution and effort in everything he did this week. Keep it up.

Our super readers were Anmol, KJ, Teigan and Ethan. They have read everyday this week and it really is showing in their work.

This week we have looked at the inverse of some operations, which means working out the related sums to an equation. We then moved on and looked at multiplication and division facts. We round the week of with a times table treasure hunt.

Poems Poems Poems.

This week we have looked at different poems.Long ones, short ones, rhyming ones, nonsense poems and poems that use alliteration. We picked out the key features of each and acted some out. Keep an eye on the blog as the videos will be up soon.

This week we have been looking at different pasta dishes, we have looked at the ingredients and thought about what would make our favourite pasta dish, ready to start designing our own. We have also been looking at natural disasters and their effect.

Mr Grimshaw came in and introduced us to opur new instrument. We are learning to play the xzylophone. I think you will all enjoy it.

We finished our computing topic this week by making a wind detector out of lego and programming it to make a noise when wind is detected. Check out our pictures!

Call back next week to find out what we have been up to.
