Friday 15th March

In English this week the children have been looking at Jack and the Beanstalk and have been thinking about how we can change and innovate parts from the story. The children considered changing the character, the villain and the type of plant that grew.

In maths we have been continuing to learn to subtract numbers and we have practised using our fingers to count back. We will need to continue to practice this skill as it is always a little trickier to count backwards.

In Science we have been learning about the functions of the plants. We recapped the parts of the plant and then labelled a plant with each function.

In topic we have been learning about human and physical geography. We have continued to learn about Wigan and it's features.

Thank you for all the kind donations for Red Nose Day 2019
