In English we have been looking at non fiction writing related to whales. Firstly we looked at how they are different to fiction books and include facts about a subject. We learned information about whales linked to what they eat and other fun facts. We then wrote a piece of non fiction which included an introduction, subheadings and a diagram.
In maths we have moved away from addition and we have started to learn all about subtraction. We used counters/real objects and took them away to see how many were left.
On Monday the children paid their respects for Remembrance day by observing a minutes silence in class. We talked about why we wear a poppy and showed the children the cenotaph in London.
Today on Friday we have all come with a donation for Children in Need. Thank you for all your contributions and the children look amazing in their colourful spots and Pudsey outfits.
Have a great weekend- Love Mrs Woodcock and Mrs Folksman.
