Hello, and welcome back to the Year 4 Blog. It's the place to be, don't you know. You can find out all manner of things here. For example, this week we are going to tell you what we've been up to in Computing.
This week we were given our Purple Mash logins. Purple Mash is something that we can access at home. There are lots of different activities that we can do from reading and writing, maths, art and computing.
We worked this week on a 3D game. The app is called 2DIY3D, and in it we are able to create the gaming environment, decide and design `baddies' and treasures. We can also plan out the route (a little like a maze) where the player must travel. Take a look at some of the screen shots.
The story for our game will involve an adventurer trying to retrieve artefacts in Ancient Egypt. That's because we already know lots about this part of history. We are looking forward to next week's lesson when we will begin to think about the `baddies' and `collectables'. Once our games are complete, we will be able to share them with you at home on our blog page -which we definitely intend to do...So, as they say `watch this space!'.
