In English, we have been reading the story of 'The Jolly Postman,' by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. We love the pockets in this book and discovering all of the letters in the pockets. We have been using 2a sentences to describe the characters in the story.
In Maths, we have been learning about capacity. We have been measuring and comparing containers and filling jugs full, half full and empty. We have measured capacity in non-standard units.
In topic, we have been learning about Vincent Van Gogh. We are recreating his 'Sunflowers' painting by using a range of techniques, including using watery paint, sponges and fat and thin paintbrushes to create a variety of effects.
