This week's stars of the week was awarded for reading every night at home. This pupil is making great progress because they are practising at home. I can't stress how important home reading is.
In Maths this week, we have been continuing our work on place value to 20. We have been learning about tens and ones using our tens frames and our part whole models. We have also been comparing numbers and problem solving.
In English, we have been reading the story - The Way Back Home- by Oliver Jeffers. This week we have been writing descriptions of the martian and his spaceship and making wanted posters.
In Science, we are learning about materials. We have been thinking about which materials are best to make a spacesuit by using the properties of materials to make our decisions.
In topic, we have had a special delivery. We had a rocket land in our group room. We asked lots of questions about the rocket and learnt some facts about Space.
Thanks.
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Lodge, Mrs Golding and Mrs Mason.
