As this goes to press Y6W, are busily chilling out playing games and having quizzes after one of the most intense weeks of their school lives. SATS week has come and gone in a heartbeat!
It would be a lie to say the papers weren't challenging (they were amongst the most challenging ever seen), but the teachers looked on with pride and encouragement at how good the children's attitude was and how focused they were. Yes, mistakes will inevitably have happened, but such was the effort, rewarding results will surely follow.
All the teachers are glowing with pride. Well done to all!
However, Y6 is not done. Next week will see us embark on some intense focus on developing writing to its fullest potential. We have some weeks left before a child's final assessment in this area is due. So it ain't over yet, folks.
