Children in Need Day 2016

4W came into school today looking absolutely fabulous in their own clothes. This was all in aid of Children in Need.

Here we are looking fine and striking our best poses. Check out the 90 degree angle by Miss Whittle!

We then went on to write about this special day and the reasons why it happens this time every year.

Well done Amber F and Logan for your efforts.

It is anti-bullying week this week and we have been having mature discussions around this subject as it is so important. We started off by watching this short video which made us laugh but has a very powerful message for us all. Take a look. Who do you think the 'bully' is? What advice would you give to help?

In English, we have been reading stories from the book Dragonory. We all had our favourites but after a vote the most popular in 4W was Lazy Jack. We are using the ideas from these stories to plan and write our own. We are going to be authors!

In Maths, we are continuing to develop our multiplication and division skills. We have just learned the short method for multiplying a 2 digit number by a single digit number. We even used this method to solve some Pudsey word problems.

In PE, we have started to learn a new dance and it has been lots of fun. Watch this space for a video of our more polished performance.

Finally, this week's congratulations go to Bartek for displaying a real love of learning each and every day. Well done, Bartek!
