Evacuee Day!

Welcome back to our final blog for this half term...how quick has that gone??

Firstly, I would just like to say how good it was to meet you at Parent's Evening this week and to discuss the great progress your children are making in year 6.

Our highlight this week has to be our evacuee day. The children really enjoyed coming into school dressed as evacuees and loved carrying out a range of activities that children would have experienced during WW2. We played marbles, worked out rations and Morse code, made carrot cookies and were even evacuated!

In other subjects, we tackled long division in maths and have begun a new book in English called the Mozart Question, which the children are enjoying.

We hope you have a great half term and we will see you soon.

Love from Mrs Parry & Mrs Melling xx
