Friday 19th January

Welcome back!

We've had another busy week again in year 2!

In Maths we have been continuing to learn about division. We have been dividing numbers by making groups and seeing how many groups are made. We have also been dividing using a number line and counting how many jumps we have made.

In English we have been writing our own version of Hansel and Gretel. We chose our own houses made from plastic, sweets, metal and wood including climbing frames, slides, fireman's poles and ball pools. We also chose robots, evil fairies and elves as our villain and made up our own escapes. We ended up with some very exciting stories!

In Topic we have been learning about London now, and how it would have been in 1666 when the great fire of London happened. We learned there was no electricity, cars or trains back then!

Well, that's all for this week, we will see you again next week!

Love Miss Mousdell and Mrs Turton
