English.
In English, we have been designing our own scary aliens this week. We used 2D shapes and cut out eyes and legs to create our design. We have been using adjectives and 'and' sentences to describe our alien. We have even included some exclamation marks for scary and exciting sentences.
Maths
In Maths, we have been learning about place value. We have been looking at the amount of tens and ones in teen numbers. We have been using the part-part whole model to record these as 10 + 5 = 15, 10 + 6 = 16 etc.
Science
In Science, we are learning about materials and their properties. We have been investigating stretchy and stiff materials. We thought that an astronaut's space suit should be made out of a stretchy material, so that they can move.
Topic
In topic, we have been finding out about the astronaut, Neil Armstrong. We have learnt when he was born and when he died and we know that he is significant because he was the first man to set foot on the moon.
