Hello and welcome back to this week’s blog.
In English we have done some empathetic writing based on our novel, Hetty Feather. This allowed the children to use their diary writing skills in the style of another person. We had some very impressive writing.
In Maths it’s all been about measures. The children had to convert measures in all areas and then answer some challenging problems at the end of the week.
We have been looking at Victorian England in Topic so that we can get a feel for how children’s lives differ to today. We also got to watch Oliver which gave us a great insight to just how tough it was for some children!
Once again, Science has had us exploring the circulatory system and finding out how our hearts work, we carried out an investigation using a straw to simulate what is being felt when feeling a pulse.
As always, a busy old week in year 6! Have a good weekend and we will see you on Monday.
Love from Mrs Parry and Mrs Melling xx
