Friday 1st March 2019

This week's stars of the week were all of Year 1W for being so kind and considerate to Ms Rose as she returns to work this week.  We have all been delighted to have her back.

In Maths this week, we have been learning how to add using a number line and solve addition problems.

In English, we have been reading the story 'Jack and the Beanstalk.'  We have learnt our model text and created a story map, which we have brought home so we can practise retelling the story at home too.

In Science, we will be learning all about plants this term.

In topic, we have built and evaluated our space rockets out of junk.  We had to think carefully about what materials we wanted to use to build the rocket and what we would need to join it together.  We learnt that cellotape was the most successful method of joining.  Thank you for all of your support in bringing the junk in for the modelling.

I'd also like to thank all of the parents who attended the Phonic Screening Check meeting after school on Wednesday.  Remember to attend the workshops for the next 5 weeks to get your child's prize.

Have a lovely weekend.
