In English, we have read the Julia Donaldson story- The Snail and the Whale. We listened to all the rhyming words that it contained. We learnt a model text description of the snail. We even learnt about similes and on Friday some of us included a simile in our imitation description of the snail.
In Maths, we have been using a tens frame to learn about number bonds. We are trying hard to remember the pairs of numbers that make 10. Ask us to sing our number bonds song to you at home!
Well done to lots of children who are reading nightly at home. This is great and will help your children to make good progress in their reading.
Next Wednesday we are going a trip to the Cinema. We are watching 3 short animation clips called 'The fox in the farmyard.' This is a free event at the cinema. We will walk there shortly after 9am.
