Friday 20th April

Hello and welcome back to our blog after the Easter break. We hope you all had a lovely time!

We have been hard at it this week (as usual) in year 6. We have focused a lot of our English work on reading and grammar, looking at how to really focus on answering questions. We also did some work on our novel, Why the Whales Came, which most of the children managed to read over the holidays - and thoroughly enjoyed!

In maths we have been doing a range of activities including graffiti maths! Have a look at our photos to see what we did.

We had a very interesting debate in topic which led us to some writing. It was about the Victorian teachers compared to modern day teachers - wow what a difference! Your children came up with some great suggestions and thoughts and expressed their own personal views clearly. A job well done!

Have a great weekend, let's hope the sun continues to shine, see you on Monday.

Love from

Mrs Parry and Mrs Melling xx
