Friday 20th January

Well, what a week!

Well done to our pupil of the week for getting herself organised for learning and increasing her effort in reading everyday this week!

You can also see our superstar readers below! Keep it up!

Maths

In maths, we have been learning how to divide using sharing and grouping, we found this interesting. Next week we will start to look at division using grouping.

English

We started the week by writing our own newspaper article about the vandal that is Goldilocks! We then started looking at non-fiction texts and their features. We then made our own questions for our partners to answer using a non-fiction text.

Science

We started our new topic of Light, we then looked at natural and artificial light sources. From this we sorted them into two categories!

Topic

We looked at how the Romans stamped their mark on Britain, as they started to build Roman roads between towns and cities!

Art

We designed and made our own Roman shields, check out the photos below!

Music

We started yet again a new instrument! The Samba drums! We can't wait for you to hear it, but make sure you bring your ear defenders, as they are loud!

P.E

We have some little Micheal Jordans in Westfield, they showed off their basketball dribbling skills in P.E this week. Even Mr Sheriff commented on their control!

Can I take this opportunity to ask that if your childs P.E kit is not in school, that it is brought in by next Friday.

Have a great and safe weekend!
