Science and Maths at Dean Trust
Hi and welcome back to our blog...
What a busy old week we have had this week, here's what we have been up to.
In English we have begun work on a clip called Partly Cloudy. The clip is a great writing stimulus for the children. We have been working on some grammar this week which will lead to extended writing next week.
We have been exploring negative numbers in Maths and are pleased to say that we are really impressed with how your children have tackled this - great job!
We were really lucky to be invited up to Dean Trust on Wednesday. We took part in science experiments and some very complex maths work - expanding brackets no less!!! All the children were a credit to us at Westfield.
Just to let you know...
PE kits have now arrived in school and your child has been allocated one. They are VERY smart! You do, however, still need to send in pumps for your child to carry out their PE lesson.
A letter has been sent home today regarding a trip on the 11th October to the Imperial War Museum.
