Friday 22nd March

In English this week we have been reading a new story called 'The Enormous Turnip'. We have looked at a turnip and we are really looking forward to tasting some next week. We have made up our own actions to help us retell the story.

In Maths we have been doing work on place value. We have been counting forwards and backwards and we have been making numbers using our equipment. We have been working out how many tens and ones are in different numbers.

On Thursday we went to the farm. We had lots of fun! We went on a tractor ride and we got to feed the donkey's with some bread. Then we got to feed lots of other animals including goats, llamas and sheep! It was a little scary at first but we all had a go. After lunch we went to pet lots of different baby animals. The baby goats and lambs were very soft. We got to hold some chicks, guinea pigs and rabbits which was really fun. Next we went on a donkey ride which was so exciting! Finally we got to see how cows are milked using machines and how they were milked before we had machines before heading back to school.

Here are some pictures from our trip!
