Friday 22nd November

Hello and welcome back to this week’s blog!

We have been putting our maths knowledge to the test this week! Your children have carried out a range of arithmetic and reasoning questions and they had both very positive attitudes and results – well done to them!

In English we carried out a range of read activities about orangutans and looked at the devastating effects of deforestation on their natural habitat. We then looked at features of persuasive writing as part of our writing objective this week. We also finished our class novel – our 5th one since the beginning of the year!

In geography, we researched Washington DC and found out some interesting facts about it including who designed and built the White House and which famous people were born there. We also found out the time zone and river as well as lots of other geographical information.

In science, we began our designing our very own circuit game – we can’t wait to start building our games over the coming weeks.

As always, it’s been a very busy week in 6W! Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday.

Love from Mrs Parry & Mrs Melling xx
