Friday 23rd June 2017

Welcome back. The weeks are flying by...it'll soon be Christmas!  Actually there are about 27 weekends until the big day!

This week we'd like to share some work we have been doing in English.  Once again we have been looking at inference.  We were playing detectives.  A crime had been committed -some money had been stolen from a piggy bank.  The fish tank had been broken and the poor fish had been left in the sink.  Click on the link here to take part online.

We should really tell you that there is no definite answer.  You really need to think about who committed the crime, how you know (what evidence you have) and what motive they had.  Can you work this one out?

Another thing we did this week, which was real fun, was a mind map for all the work we have done in Year 4 this year. Take a look at some of our work.

Well this is my last blog. As you will know today was my last day at Westfield and what an emotional day it has been. After a year of working with such fabulous staff and amazing children, it was difficult to say goodbye. Thank you to all those who gave such thoughtful gifts it really was overwhelming.

4W have worked so incredibly hard for me this year and I am proud of each and every one of them. Remember to aim for the stars, 4W! xx
