Friday 23rd November

Hello and welcome back to this week’s blog…

As usual, we have had a busy week in year 6. Here’s what we have been up to!

In English we have continued to enjoy our class novel, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We started to write in role of Edmund (often referred to by his siblings as a little beast) and got inspiration for this from our very own Narnia room! Ask your children to tell you all about it. We had a really exciting reading lesson too this week, this looked at a range of reading skills whilst finding out information about the effect of palm oil on orangutans.

It’s been all about fractions this week, the children have learned to multiply and divide them and simplify them…wow!

In science we have started to make our very own circuit game. It’s going to take us a number of sessions to complete them so we will post some pics as they get completed.

Have a good weekend and we will see you on Monday.

Love from Mrs Parry, Mrs Melling & Mr Jackson xx
