Friday 23rd October

Welcome back to the final blog of this half term!

Also welcome to the winners blog! 3F has won the attendance shield for lower key stage 2. 3F has had an attendance of 96%. Great work guys, but we still have not had our own clothes day. Lets push for 100% all week. I know we can do it!

A big well done to 16 of our class who have managed to get 100% attendance this term. Keep it up.

Ruby took this weeks pupil of the week: Ready to learn. Unbelieveable work ethic. Brightens up the room. You are a star. Keep it up!

We had mixed emotions as we said Goodbye to Mrs Scroggie who helped us in year 2. We had fun hot seating her and asking her some unusual questions.

Maths

In maths this week we have re-capped on the terms learning. We have mastered place value, column addition and subtraction and also perimeter. What a busy week!

English

This weeks English focussed on the Hairy Toe. We wrote our own predictions for the end of the story. There was lots of interesting and spooky ideas!

Topic

G'day mate. We took our imagination to Australia and wrote postcards home. We wrote about what we could see, how we felt, the weather and the activities we had been up to.

Great Westfield Bake Off!

Congratulations to Maddison who won best cake for our class.

We all had lots of fun making our spooktacular graveyard cake. All the children got mucky fingers and looked like they had a great time.

The cake sale was a huge success and our class raised a lot of money for the end of term parties.
