Friday 23rd September
YEAH- we achieved 100% attendance for last week!!! And we celebrated today by coming to school in our own clothes!!!! Well done to us all!!!
Here are the highlights from this week-
In English- we listened to the story of The three Billy goats gruff and picked out the similarities and the differences between this story and The Troll.
Now the children are in the process of creating their own story based on the three Billy goats gruff.
In Maths- we have been counting forwards and backwards in steps of 1's, 2's 10's and 5's.
We have also been practicing other skills such as turn taking, sharing and using our maths skills whilst playing maths games.
In Topic- we have been exploring our local area. We have used google maps to discover what is near our school. We also learned about human and physical features and the differences between them. Next week we will discover which features we can see around our school.
Well done to the children who completed the 'Extreme reading' challenge during the summer holiday.
