Oh how time flies!
Our star of the week this week is ALL of 3W! For their simply beautiful and moving Special Persons Assembly. We are all very proud of them, we hope you enjoyed it.
Well done to our 13 Superstar readers. See if your child is one of them below.
We continued to look at time. We started the week by investigating how Roman numerals are used on a clock. Then we learnt how to write the time in digital form on a 24 hour clock. Then we learnt how to convert between 12 and 24 hours. On Friday we estimated and recorded time in seconds.
We started to look at Poems this week. We have wrriten two of our own poems. We wrote our own version of No word of a lie! Then we went on a sound walk and wrote our own version of the Sound Collector. Listen to some of them below.
This week in science we compared everyday materials and thought about whether they were magnetic or not.
This weeks Topic lesson focused on Volcanoes. We looked at how they are formed and labelled a cross-section of a Volcano. After that we looked at famous Volcanoes around the world and when they last erupted.
We are dotting the i's and crossing the t's ready for next weeks performance. We can't wait for you to see it! Don't forget your ear plugs!
Thank you to everyone that attended Wednesday's assembly, you made the performance extra special for the children.
Monday's drumming assembly will start at 2:30pm prompt, please try tgo avoid being late as it disrupts the performance.
Have a great weekend! The Y3W Team
