Oh how time flies!
Our star of the week this week is ALL of 3W! For their simply beautiful and moving Special Persons Assembly. We are all very proud of them, we hope you enjoyed it.
Well done to our 13 Superstar readers. See if your child is one of them below.
Maths
We continued to look at time. We started the week by investigating how Roman numerals are used on a clock. Then we learnt how to write the time in digital form on a 24 hour clock. Then we learnt how to convert between 12 and 24 hours. On Friday we estimated and recorded time in seconds.
English
We started to look at Poems this week. We have wrriten two of our own poems. We wrote our own version of No word of a lie! Then we went on a sound walk and wrote our own version of the Sound Collector. Listen to some of them below.
Science
This week in science we compared everyday materials and thought about whether they were magnetic or not.
Topic
This weeks Topic lesson focused on Volcanoes. We looked at how they are formed and labelled a cross-section of a Volcano. After that we looked at famous Volcanoes around the world and when they last erupted.
