Hello again...welcome back. Another busy week here in Year Four.
In English on Tuesday, we wrote our own versions of a Dragonory story from the book we have been reading. Wow, what a real range of sentence types, punctuation and vocabulary we used. Our teachers were so impressed with our independent writing they've given us this weekend off! Hey, we always get the weekend off! Mmmmm?? Our stories covered a real range of the ones that we looked at in the book, but all had our own little twist.
In Maths, we moved on our learning from last week when we were multiplying a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number using the short method. This week we moved on to multiplying 3 digit numbers by a 1 digit number. You know, to begin with, this really confused us. By the end of the week though we could see that it was just as easy. In fact, we were multiplying 3 digit by 1 digit like Professors of Multiplying, when they had just received an award in Multiplying from the University of Multiplication for their multiplying skills.
Why don't you give some a go. Answers as always, upside down at the bottom of our blog.
