Welcome back to Year 4 blog, we hope you had a lovely Easter break.
We started a new topic this week with a `WOW' lesson. And, what a `WOW' it was!
Our topic for this half term is Rivers. So, our teachers gave us a range of OS maps for the Lake District and Scotland. How amazing are OS maps? They are huge! And with so much detail. Our task, working as groups was to find as many of the features from the OS symbol sheet (below). Then, we also had to identify streams, gills or burns that led into rivers. Where those rivers started and where they led to. Take a look at the pictures below to see us in action.
