Friday 26th January 2018

Welcome back to Year Four Blog.  This week we thought we'd share some English, Science and PE work.

In English, we have been busy writing parts to our non chronological reports on polar bears.  We have taken each topic -introduction, habitat, cubs, appearance, diet, conclusion and Did you know? -and we have construct paragraphs about each area.  Today, Friday, we have put together our final report on polar bears.  Our teachers have been so impressed with our work -both in terms of our sentence structure, the amount, how we have pieced them together to make our paragraph, and the quality of our presentation.  Take a look at our final pieces.

In PE, we have been working with Chris.  Chris is a FA Coach who comes into school each Tuesday to work with us in PE.  Then, he runs an after school girls' football club.   We have been practising our ball control and awareness of others.  It's been great fun.   Take a look at our pictures below.
In Science, we have been looking at Teeth and Digestion for the past couple of weeks.  We can now identify the names of teeth and what their functions (jobs) are.  See if you can match these up.
This afternoon in Science, we looked at our bites.  We were given a slice of apple, ant took a bite out of it.  Then we tried to identify our incisors and canines.  We probably would see our molars and premolars as these are further back in our mouth.  Take a look at our bites...and our smiles below.  See you next time.
