Friday 26th May

Good morning and welcome to this week's blog from Year 6W. It has been a busy final week of the current half term.

Maths - This week in Maths, the children have been measuring and drawing angles using a protractor. This can sometimes be quite tricky, but the children have shown great resilience. As a result, they have produced some great work.

English - Have you ever fancied a unique pet? Do you like a challenge? Would you like a cuddly friend? Well, maybe a miptor is the ideal pet for you!

This week, the children have created their own new pet (called a miptor) and then written a guide on how to take care of it using high quality adjectives, a variety of super sentences, Year 6 spellings and cohesive devices. The results are OUTSTANDING!

Our certificate winner this week is Holly for her determination and commitment into ensuring maximum effort goes into extended, independent writing. A big WELL DONE from all of Year 6 to Holly! smileysmileysmiley

All that remains to say is have a wonderful half term break. Thankfully, the weather looks to be favourable. We look forward to welcoming you back when school re-opens on Tuesday 6th June.
