Hello, and welcome back to the Year 4 blog. We hope you had a great half term break (although it was really wet).
In English we have been looking at expanded noun phrases and prepositions. We then used the two to write our own preposition poem. Expanded noun phrases are when we add more information to the noun. This makes it more specific. So, rather than say `the teacher', we can say `the wise, old teacher in Year 4'. (No prizes for guessing who that might be.) Preposition tell use where something is -`in Year 4'. We had great fun writing our poems.
Then, on Friday we looked at a wordless book called Sector 7 by David Wiesner. What a great book! Here are some of the pictures from the book. Don't you think the illustrations are amazing?
