Welcome back to Year 3's blog!
We've had such a busy week! In English we have read a book called the Pirate Code!The children have loved reading books about pirates! They have written a description of one of the name characters called Captain Greenbeard. During the week we looked at similes and the children were able to include these in their writing.
In Maths we have started our work on addition. We have looked at adding 2 three digits together using concrete, pictoral and symbolic techniques.
In Topic we have continued to look at the 7 man - made wonders of the world. This week we focused on Christ the Redeemer.
In Science we started to think about what our bodies would be like if we didn't have a skeleton. We looked at all the different bones in the body and the children had to label a skeleton. The children really enjoyed learned about the skeleton.
