Hello and welcome back to our class blog.
We have had another great week this week in year 6 and have been carrying out some really tricky work, Here's what we have been up to...
In maths we have been recapping on a range of skills and strategies as well as looking at scale factor. We have also been testing ourselves on some very challenging reasoning too!
In English we have been comparing Victorian schools to now and worked really hard on a specific writing skill which was to write in a formal impersonal tone and apply this skill to a balanced argument. Sound tricky? It sure was but your children did a great job on this.
Our new science topic has had us looking at branching keys and how we can specify a certain species by asking a range of questions.
It's our last week next week before we break for Easter and it will also be our last parent workshop. Thank you to everyone who has attended so far, I hope it has been of use to you to help your children at home. I will also look forward to seeing you at parents evening next week.
Have a good weekend and we will see you on Monday.
Love from Mrs Parry, Mrs Melling and Mr Jackson xx
