Friday 2nd November

Hello again!

Did you recognise any of these famous faces (apologies for the quality of some)? As part of our end of topic, we have caricatured some of the significant figures of World War 2. I'm sure you recognised Churchill and Hitler amongst them.

English this week has been "Spooky Week." We have read scary poems and explored how language can be used to help describe a sinister setting.

In maths we have been solving problems involving multiplication and division. These include circumstances where division calculations had to be rounded up or down, depending on the context. For instance, black cabs carry 5 people - how many cabs needed to take 17 friends on a night out?

Answer: 17 divided by 5 = 3 r2

That means 4 cabs are needed because the 2 people left over still need one.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Bye for now!
