Friday 3rd December 2021

Hello and welcome back to our class blog. This week has been all about Rumble In The Jungle. We have seen some lovely illustrations and we have discovered more about the job an illustrator does. Could you have a little look through the books that you have at home and find out who the illustrator is?

We have been exploring moving in different ways and landing in PE. Take a look at this lovely action shot smiley

We have looked at textures and colours of the animals in the Jungle. Have a look at this lovely bird. Perfect for the jungle we have created in our role play area

In Reception the children have access to high quality writing experiences everyday and we gently encourage every child to come and explore what's on offer.  Have a look at this lovely example of independent writing. Amazing. Just goes to show that our Read Write Inc lessons are really having a positive impact on our learning

We have also been developing our knowledge of the number 4 and lots of different ways we can represent it. We looked at creating a washing line and matching patterned socks on it. We talked about 1 more and 1 less, we talked about how 3 add 1 equals 4 as does 2 add 2 equal 4. Lots of hands on experiences to help children understand how 4 is made up

And finally. Our Sticky Learning Book. Take a little look at all the wonderful memories and experiences we can recall from this weeks learning. Amazing. I am so very proud of the children smiley

As it is the 1st December as a class we decorated the Christmas tree. It looks amazing. Every child came and selected a bauble or decoration and found their special place to put it. We even started to sing some Christmas songs to get us in the mood.
