Friday 3rd February
Hello and welcome to our blog for this week. Can you believe that it is February already?
Maths - This week the children have been learning about ratio in Maths. For example, in a bag of sweets for every 2 red sweets there are 3 blue sweets. The ratio would be written as 2:3. They have then applied what they have learned about ratio to solve word problems on LBQ (Learning by Questions) online.
English - In English, the children have been reading non-fiction texts about World War II and the Battle of Britain. They have been interested to learn about England's supremacy in the skies, despite the fact that they had less planes and pilots than Germany had!
Our certificate winner this week is Carmen for being a wonderful example of how to behave and work hard in the classroom with Miss Horan. Congratulations to her from all of Year 6W. 
Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend the SATS meeting yesterday after school. It was good to see such a large number of people in attendance.
