The long Bank Holiday will serve as a timely break to recharge batteries as we enter the penultimate week before SATS.
Children are currently working really hard to peak at the right time. This is backed up by the evidence we are seeing in a variety of preparatory tasks, including full paper practices.
Of course, reading competence and ability in maths are life skills, not skills for tests, and we should remember that as these develop, their real value will be in helping to make our children successful, independent adults. This is why we do it!
