Friday 4th February 22

Over the past few weeks we have been looking at the Water Cycle in Science.  We have learnt all about how the water on earth is constantly being recycled and reused.  We have learnt scientific terms such as -Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation and Transpiration.

This afternoon, we created the water cycle in a glass.  We added warm water.  We covered the glass with cling film, and popped an ice cube on top.

The warm water evaporated, and when it touched the cooler air created by the ice cube, it condensed back to a liquid.  Eventually, those droplets of water merged to create bigger droplets and these fell back to the warm water as precipitation or rain.  What a really great way to see the water cycle in action.
