Friday 4th May 2018

Well done to Harry for getting our achievement certificate for a super attitude to his work and his learning, resulting in great progress in his writing and maths.

English.

In English, we have been continuing our work on the story of 'The Detective Dog.'  We have been looking at non-fiction texts and their features. We have been writing an information page all about dogs to tell Peter how best to look after Nell - the Detective Dog.  We have been writing questions as subheadings and using fun fact boxes with exclamation marks.

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s.  We have been learning about multiplication using arrays and grouping into 2s, 5s and 10s.

Science

In Science, we are learning about animals including humans.  We have been about different types of animals.  This week we have been learning about reptiles and birds.  Reptiles have scaly skin, cold blood and they lay leathery eggs.  Birds have two legs, two wings, a beak and feathers.  Did you know that not all birds can fly?

Topic

In topic, we have been learning about People who help us.  We have been designing vehicles of people who help us on Purple Mash.

Have a lovely weekend.
