Friday 4th September
Welcome to the very first blog from Year 5F. Although it has only been a short week, we have already packed quite a lot in! All the teachers have been very impressed with the children, as they have settled into life on the Upper Phase very quickly.
Maths - We have been looking at shapes, both 2D and 3D. We have looked at the properties of shapes, their sides, angles, corners or their faces, edges etc.
English - The children have planned and written a recount of their summer holidays. Wow, what an exciting time everybody has had!
A big well done to Callum, our very first certificate winner in Year 5. He was awarded his certificate for making a fabulous start to Year 5! Keep it up Callum - we are all very proud of you
Just a reminder to let you know that PE is on a Thursday and children will need their kits in every week please.
Children have chosen their new reading books and brought them home yesterday. A big thank you to everyone who read last night. Please can you ensure that your child has their book and planner in school every day - thank you.
