Welcome back to year four blog! Well! What an exciting week here in school! We are well and truly into our new class reader, only a few chapters left until we have finished Kieran Larwood's second Podkin adventure.
This week in maths we have been looking at translating shapes. This is when we move a shape from left to right and up and down. The shape does not turn as this is Rotation, nor does it flip, as this is Symmetry. Once we had translated our shapes we wrote the new coordinates for our shape.
In English we completed our Pop Star band from last week. We each wrote about our band, making them as crazy and as wild as possible.
How could we forget...it's been TRANSITION week!!! We got the chance to meet our new teachers, Mrs Doherty and Mrs Roberts. They are great and even though we will be sad to leave our year four teachers, we are looking forward to what year five has to offer.
