Friday 6th November

Welcome back after the first half term of the year and bonfire night, we hope you saw some amazing displays of fireworks.

Firstly, we would like to say a huge well done to some of our superstars this week....

James received star of the week for having a sensible attitude and continuously working hard.

Dale Clayton brought in his award from rugby which he got for his impressive speed and tackling.

Layton, Scarlett, Reece, Anmol, Kelsey, Braydon and KJ have made our class super proud by reading every day this week and were given a well done token each and a certificate.

English

In English we have been learning about Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot. We have made some excellent pieces of descriptive writing about bonfire night and the colourful fireworks.

Maths

We have been working extremely hard in maths, doubling, halving numbers up to 3 digits AND multiplication! Mr Fletcher was very impressed.

Science

Our new science topic is rocks and this week we looked at their many different uses. We have even been finding out about how we use them everyday!

P.E

Wigan warriors are taking our PE lessons until Christmas. Our focus is tag rugby, we have been joining in fun and games.

Music

We are beginning to piece together our drumming assembly and are really looking forward to performing in front of an audience.

French

Madame Wilson is our new French teacher. She has already taught us lots of new phrases and songs.

Call back next week for more information on our busy school week and don't forget to read!
