Hello,
Welcome to 1W Brett and well done to our 2 fantastic buddies, Oliver and Alexander for making him so welcome and showing him the ropes.
English
In English we have been reading the traditional tale, ‘Little Red Riding Hood.’ We have been using adjectives to describe the setting of the woods. We went to the ALPs and used our senses to see what we could see and hear. We have written a setting description using our sounds.
Maths
In maths, we have been learning to use the language greater than, less than, more, less, fewer and most. We have been comparing amounts as well as finding one more and one less.
Science
We have been continuing our work on materials. This week we have been helping Perfect Panda make a new umbrella. We decided it needed to be waterproof. We held an investigation to see which material would be best for his umbrella.
Topic
In Topic, we had been looking at building from our local area.
Finally, please remember to learn your child’s spellings with them ready for a test on Monday.
